The Hackett Colloquium

A Resource for the Humanities

Since its founding in 1972, Hackett Publishing Company has served the humanities by publishing high quality texts at reasonable prices for course instructors, students, and intellectually curious readers of all ages. Hackett’s list and publishing programs have steadily expanded over the course of our first 45 years, now including over 900 active titles in philosophy, classics, political theory, Asian studies, Latin American studies, modern languages, theatre and film studies, and student writing guides. In celebration of our authors and 45 years of staunchly independent book publishing we’re pleased to launch The Hackett Colloquium, a website featuring blog posts by Hackett authors, book excerpts, and humanities resources to support our books and further engage our readers. Updates will be posted regularly, we hope you’ll visit often and welcome your comments and suggestions by contacting us using the ‘contact us’ form in the top menu.
